An audio-visual experience inspired by the continuous human conquest of racing towards our highest point of achievement.
For ‘APEX’, Spryk will be using electronic music as a storytelling tool along with generative visuals by Cursorama, cutting-edge lighting design by Naveen Deshpande, and a unique stage set up as his canvas.
This was an exclusive commission that debuted at Magnetic Fields Festival 2019.
APEX premiered online for the first time on 12th August 2020 on Boiler Room x Wild City – Streaming from Isolation.
About the artist
Spryk is the electronic music & art exploration of Mumbai-based Tejas Nair. Whether its immersive art installations, awe-inspiring Audio Visual Live performances, ambisonic sound for VR & video games, or club-ready releases, Spryk’s work is a classic case of electronic exploration that makes use of available technology while referencing that which came before it and does so in a sincerely human way. At the core, Spryk as a project and Tejas as a musician, DJ, curator, and interdisciplinary artist focuses on provoking a greater understanding of thought, action & interaction.
His latest offering is a 7 track studio album titled APEX is the result of a commission from the coveted Magnetic Fields Festival, asking Spryk to explore the relationship between Music, Technology & Humanity. The results of which debuted as a magnificent live Audio Visual performance at the festival in 2019 & went on to premiere as part of the Boiler Room ‘Streaming from Isolation’ series India. The show was regarded as one of the top 5 key performances at the festival by Resident Advisor & Rolling Stone.
